Honshu, known as the mainland, is the largest of Japan's islands. It hosts a population of over 102 million people (2000 est.).

The major cities on Honshu are: Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima.

Our most recent journey was in October, 2006 where we traveled to Kanazawa, Yatsuo, Gifu, Yokohama, and Kamakura.
